The Kurrichane thrush (Turdus libonyana) described originally from the western Transvaal, is the common thrush of the drier woodland associations of the southern half of Africa, ranging from nothern Tanganyika and the southern Congo, south to the northern parts of South- West Africa, northern and eastern Botswana, Transvaal and Natal.
