Arnoldia Vol 1(25) 1965 ROBINSON K.R. The Leopard’s Kopje Culture A preliminary report on recent work. 1-7p

When the Leopard’s Kopje Culture was first recorded it was clear that it had much in common with the material from Hillside, Bulawayo, and probably also with some material from Mapungubwe hill. In this paper three phases of the Leopard’s Kopje Culture are distinguished based on buildings and general kraal plan; pottery; and glass beads. Based on these findings it is probable that the Leopard’s Kopje Culture as a whole is representing the reactions of an early Iron Age culture to outside influences introduced by later immigrants.
